Itinerary

DAY 1: Machu Picchu Full Day

We will pick you up from your hotel between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and head for the train station in Ollantaytambo, an hour and forty minutes from Cusco. Upon arrival, we will board the train to the small town of Aguas Calientes. The train journey will take around two hours. Upon the train’s arrival in Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting to provide you with all the information you need for your visit to Machu Picchu. From the station, we will head to the bus station and board one of the buses to the Inca citadel. When we arrive at the entrance to Machu Picchu, we will be asked to show our tickets and identity documents. The guided tour of the ruins will take around two hours, as we explore the site on foot, stopping at the most important attractions to listen to the information offered by the guide, and to take photos of the citadel. At the end of the guided tour, clients will have free time to continue their visit to Machu Picchu, and to see the Inca Bridge or the Sun Gate. At the agreed time in the afternoon, we will leave the ruins behind and catch one of the return buses to Aguas Calientes. In the town, we will take the return train to Ollantaytambo, where one of our staff members will be waiting to escort you back to Cusco.
